Information on HIV virus infection HIV virus transmission ,Precautions to avoid HIV infection

Information on HIV virus infection HIV virus transmission ,Precautions to avoid HIV infection and AIDS.

Our society has to play a major role in eradication of HIV and AIDS from this world. One can hate the HIV virus but not the HIV positive individuals. They too are human beings. We should not discriminate them. Now with the availability of novel medicines, a HIV positive individual can live a better quality life. There are examples of people out there.

The effect of drugs are also dependent of emotional status of an individual, if someone who is HIV positive decides in his mind that he or she will be able to live a quality life, then they can really live a very good quality life.

I urge everyone out there to please come out of this and say yes to life!. Say yes! If you can find strength in yourself, then tomorrow will be joyful and bright. In the future, we might also see more efficient drugs and vaccines be developed and made available, which gives even more people life quality.

What one should do if a person finds that he is HIV positive?

One should consult the doctor immediately and start medication immediately, and one can keep every thing in control by timely and proper medication, one can live a better quality life.

How HIV is not transmitted?

It is not transmitted through food or air, (coughing or sneezing).

A person don't get infected by a household member, relative, or co-worker, or friend through casual or everyday contact such as sharing eating utensils or bathroom facilities, or through hugging.

One doesn’t get HIV from giving blood at a blood bank or other established blood collection center.

AIDS or HIV virus do not spread by living together or studding in same school with some one who is HIV positive.

Lastly we should fight against HIV virus, and not against infected individual, they need all of us and our love , our society should not discriminate them , we should take good care of them, as every life in this world is very precious.

I will like to write on few of the most important facts about HIV virus infection prevention.

It is very easy to prevent HIV virus spread or prevent infection by adapting very simple precautionary measures, than providing a medical treatment against HIV virus infection , in other words it is very difficult for doctors to provide a life saving treatment against HIV infection, as the HIV virus keeps on mutating and keeps on developing resistance against drugs, rendering the drugs partially or completely ineffective , in such situations , doctors are required to switch over to other drugs, discarding current , so it’s in ones hand what to chose , HIV infection or preventive measures?

How a HIV virus infect?

HIV virus is transmitted if HIV virus comes in direct contact with your mucous membrane, open wound, or with bloodstream, or if some one has sex with HIV positive individual.

HIV virus is transmitted though anal, vaginal or oral sex, and by sharing contaminated hypodermic, or intramuscular needles.

HIV is transmission through deep or prolonged "French" kissing, if some one has broken mucus membranes, bleeding gums.

HIV can be transmitted from an infected mother to her child during pregnancy or delivery , and infants can get infection through milk from HIV positive mother.

What are the precautions to prevent HIV infection?

I request every one in this world, please adapt precautions to prevent HIV infections, they are very simple and easy.

One should avoid direct contact of your open wounds or mucus membrane , with HIV infected blood, semen, vaginal fluid, preseminal fluid, one should always avoid sex with unknown person or HIV positive individual.

Show your courage by saying no for sex with unknown person.

Condoms are very important tool in preventing HIV virus infection.

Use of condom helps in prevention of sexual transmission of HIV virus.

We have to do lot of work in the field of prevention of HIV virus transmission from a mother to her child, we need to educate women’s .

Information on HIV virus and AIDS

Information on HIV virus and AIDS (Acquired immuno deficiency syndrome) , research and development on anti AIDS drugs , latest information on treatment

Information on HIV virus :
Human Imuno deficiency virus knows as HIV virus belongs to the genus Lentivirus, and Family Retroviridae.
HIV virus (Family Retroviridae) is a RNA virus, as against other types of virus which contains DNA .For process of reproduction of virus , it is required that it pass on its genetic information from parent virus to new virus . DNA contains genes, and gens are able to transfer its genetic information from parent to progeny, but HIV contains RNA it stores all genetic information over these RNA.

Hence to transfer its own genetic information from parent virus to new virus, RNA of HIV Virus develops a copy of a DNA, This process is known as reverse transcription, and it is facilitated by enzyme reverse transcriptase, the reverse transcription process and enzyme reverse transcriptase is so called reverse as the process is just reverse process compared to DNA virus, where a genetic information is transcribed from DNA throgh RNA.

The newly formed single stranded copy of DNA makes its complementary copy and forms a double stranded DNA, with the help of enzymes DNA polymerase.

Now this DNA copy of HIV virus gets incorporated in to human DNA of T-Lymphocytes, and when ever these T-Lymphocytes carry out the process of protein synthesis for them selves, they are also making the HIV virus proteins and RNA as that of parent HIV virus as the DNA of infected T-Lymphocytes contains DNA copy formed by HIV virus in the process of reverse transcription.
The enzyme responsible for integration of DNA copy formed by HIV virus in to human DNA of T-Lymphocytes are intercalase and integrase.
HIV virus is infects human T-Cells which are known to impart immunity and protect human body from any sort of incoming infection, after infection with HIV virus, these cells count lowers down to such an extent that, the general microbial flora which all humans do harbor in their body, and is not harmful otherwise, becomes harmful and turns to be pathogenic (Harmful). This is the main cause which develops serious and life threatening complications in HIV virus infected individuals, thus develops in to the disease known as AIDS (Acquired immuno deficiency syndrome).

There are two species of HIV virus: HIV-1 and HIV-2.
HIV-1 is the virus that was initially discovered and as both LAV and HTLV-III (Human T-Lymphocytic virus Type iii ). It is considered more virulent and more infective, it is presently the major cause of HIV infections worldwide.

HIV-2 posses lower infectivity than compared to HIV-1 .

Structure of HIV virus
HIV virus is spherical in structure , measuring about 120 nm,It consist of two copies of RNA enclosed in to a capcid along with its enzyme system and proteins, the capsid is further surrounded by a lipid membrane made of P17 proteins. This inturn is surrounded by two layers phospholipids fatty molecules called as viral envelop.
There are about 70 protrusions of protiens from HIV virus envelop, these protrusions consists a tip called as cap and the stem which holds cap firmly placed on viral envelop.
Cap is made from glycoprotein (gp) 120 and stem is made from glycoprotein (gp) 41.These protiens help in attaching virus over t-lymphocytic cells and then injecting its RNA , in to human T lymphocytic cell .

Information on genetically engineered stem cell treatment, gen therapy for HIV virus infection, AIDS.

Current information on HIV virus and Treatment for HIV infection by genetically engineered stem cell treatment, gen therapy.
There is a very good and very hope full research and development happening in the field of treatment for HIV infection and AIDS with genetically engineered stem cell treatment.

As i had written on this blog about two years back, the things are really happening in the same direction, now

(Read here i had written in Dec 2008 about stem cell therapy for HIV virus infection and AIDS over my blog
http://www.bvwaghmare.blogspot.com/2008/12/stem-cells-therapy-in-treatment-of-hiv.html )

Researchers in US Dr David DiGiusto (professor of City of Hope's Department of Hematology and Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation) and his team team has published their work about treatment for HIV infection and AIDS with genetically engineered stem cells

I am writing this research in simple words for all our readers.

This is one of the greatest approach towards life saving treatment for HIV infection and AIDS.
Scientists have collected stem cells from patients own body , and engineered them , and induced in to them gens which expresses three RNA-based anti-HIV moieties as follows .
1.tat/rev short hairpin RNA,
2.TAR decoy,
3.CCR5 ribozyme.
Amongst these anti HIV moieties CCR5 ribozyme is capable of hampering production of CCR5 protein a essential protein which is responsible for HIV virus entry in to new host cell , there it can lower a viral load , in to patient and help anti retroviral drugs to do other rest of function efficiently.
siRNA further hampers the production of viral essential protein
TAR decoy is capable of interacting and hampering in to the function of Tat protein of HIV virus which this proteins has very important role in HIV virus multiplication.
This is great development, and we hope this will further develop in to a life saving pharmaceutical will be developed for treatment for AIDS in future.
